Black Wheat fortified with Anthocyanin was developed by NABI in 2017.It is a variety of Pigmented wheat developed by crossing purple and blue wheat. It has 140 ppm of anthocyanin as compared to 5ppm found in Amber wheat.Black Wheat is GMO free and possesses higher protein content, dietary fibre, calcium, Vitamin K than conventional Wheat.Black Wheat flour intake improves Glycemic control and Inflammatory profile in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
